When it comes to smaller events, we know that the smaller details are the most important. Sometimes bringing your event to life can be overwhelming in a small group but we’ve put some ideas together to point you in the right direction.

Florals

This may seem obvious but sometimes florals are overlooked when it comes to organising an event. A beautifully arranged floral display can do wonders for an empty venue, adding a splash of colour into a room and they don’t have to be OTT to make an impression. (Although, if you do want to go big, we wouldn’t tell you not too!)

If you are feeling extra creative, you can mix up what the florals are displayed in from tea pots, suitcases, wellie boots, lightbulbs, wine bottles or better yet a simple vase.

Sharing Platters

As they say, sharing is caring and we are totally behind this statement when it comes to sharing your food. That’s right, your heard us properly… sharing food! Changing up the usual 3 course meal by introducing sharing platters is a great way to create an informal atmosphere and break down any walls between guests. We are talking mouth-watering Slow Cooked Lamb with Sweet Potato and Apricots, Pan-fried Chicken with Goats Cheese and Sun Dried Tomato or Dressed Salmon with Mixed Leaves and Cucumber, with all the trimmings!

Entertainment

Apple Music and Spotify can go along way at an event but sometimes adding something a little extra can change up your party. Entertainment doesn’t necessarily have to be music, although a pianist or harpist work amazingly for background music. Perhaps you are looking for something a bit more interactive such as a magician or silhouette artist to entertain your guests.

Gifting

If you want to give your guests a little keepsake from your event, something personalised will go a long way! Why not hire an illustrator to draw portraits of each of your guests, engrave an item, such as a wallet or notebook with your guests initials or even a little bag of treats (everybody loves food) to take away with them, is a lovely touch.
