It might be July and even though we have recently experienced a heatwave, it’s never too early to discuss your Christmas party! Whether it be for your clients or internal colleagues, London has some exciting venues and themes to offer you for 2022.

From witches, wizards and enchanted forests to MAMMA MIA gatherings, there is a themed party for everyone and we’ve got your Christmas party venue wish list all wrapped up. Take a look at our top five favourites below.

The Brewery

This prestigious venue based in the heart of the city of London is famed for its annual thematic transformations for the Christmas party season. From great halls to intimate chambers, the venue is transformed into a magical house of fun for 1,600 standing or 700 seated.

This year the venue’s Christmas theme is (queue drum roll…) The Fairytale of New York, which celebrates the notorious nightlife and exclusive location of the 1970s New York club scene. By inviting guests to be part of the rebirth of the of this once celebrated nightclub, the venue are taking the regularly stereotyped theme of the 1970s and creating their own exciting, glamorous and unique twist on it.

The theme lends itself to a fully immersive world of The Fairytale of New York. Guests will celebrate their party beyond the velvet ropes and inside the most exclusive club of 1970s New York. They will meet characters from the era, enjoy fine dining and dance to The Fairytale of New York’s in-house band or DJs – all of this is included, plus a cocktail reception on arrival and an unlimited drinks package that covers the rest of the evening!

Cirque Le Soir

Set in the heart of Soho since its inception in 2009, Cirque Le Soir has perfected the immersive experience in a range of sets, stages and installations. This year they will be decorating their venue with a traditional seasonal theme but with an exciting twist… part of the venue will be a Tokyo inspired karaoke club; think mirrored walls, lasers and flashing neons. Guests can enjoy the best of both worlds as they can partake in the traditional festive merriment, whilst enjoying in the hilarious immersion of their secret karaoke bar – the Christmas gift that keeps on giving.

The interactive and immersive elements include karaoke, photo booth and characters interacting with the guests as well as stage performances, fire acts, breakdancers, aerialists and so much more to get your creative Christmas juices flowing.

MAMMA MIA! THE PARTY

If you’re looking for something a bit different from the traditions of the Christmas festivities, then look no further as we introduce you to the beautiful Greek Island of Skopelos, where most exteriors of the first MAMMA MIA! film were shot.

Created by ABBA’s Björn Ulvaeus, MAMMA MIA! THE PARTY is a unique and magical experience in a class of it’s own, bringing all of ABBA’s hits to life more vividly than ever before: over the course of four glittering hours, guests can immerse themselves in a spectacular musical extravaganza, a four-course Greek feast and an ABBA disco, all in one unforgettable evening of dancing, dining and singing!

This is one of London’s premier dining experiences and with a maximum capacity of 504 guests, get ready to make some memories and leave with that Greek glow.

Waterloo Vaults

This Christmas, deep beneath Waterloo, hidden in plain sight, there’s a world of Christmas themes going on from a selection of two; The Witches of Oz or Peter Pan’s Labyrinth.

Inspired by the worlds of witches and wizards and presented as a comedy drag sequel to Wicked, this year The Vaults presents an immersive party experience that will see you eat, drink and gorge to excess. It’s a very flexible package option that offers a seated dinner for up to 200 guests or 1000 guests standing.

Peter Pan’s Labyrinth on the other hand is more of a panto mash up sprinkled with a bit of David Bowie’s Labyrinth. The show provides guests more of a party event/show rather than a seated pantomime, followed by food, guests have the choice of bowl food, buffet style and the capacity ranges from 100-300 guests.

8 Northumberland Avenue

Hire out this traditional yet quirky venue which accommodates up to 700 guests standing and 450 guests seated. With two fantastic festive themes this year; ‘The Emporium at No.8’ and ‘Midnight in Manhattan’, you will be sure to have a jolly good time!

The Emporium at No.8 is held in the venue’s stunning ballroom, opening its enchanted doorways to experience a soiree not accessible to the public. This is an evening focussed on pleasure and fun, whilst the food and wine is flowing and the party itself builds an atmosphere like no other.

All of this and more! If you’re looking for more than just the Emporium, then head to The Old Billiard Room and Annex for ‘Midnight in Manhattan’ where a reception of bubbles awaits, followed by a grand feast awaiting along on the adorned tables. Treat yourself to a special evening made for parties, only open to those invited, where guests dance the night away concealed from sight.
