A Day in the Life at the London Christmas Party Show 2026
With Sophie Cann – Business Development Manager at Story Events
8:00 am – Arriving at the Show
The day started bright and early as I made my way to the London Christmas Party Show. There’s always a buzz of excitement on show day. As soon as I arrived at the venue, I grabbed an iced coffee from the amazing Cater coffee stand and took a quick walk around before the doors opened.
One of my favourite parts of this event is seeing all the creativity that goes into the exhibitor stands. From immersive themes and stunning set builds to interactive experiences, the show floor was already looking fantastic. This year’s show theme, Merry Kitchmas, was a brilliant play on old-school Christmas nostalgia, bringing a fun and festive atmosphere to the event. Many exhibitors embraced the theme wholeheartedly, creatively styling their stands and spaces with unique festive touches that really brought the concept to life.
I also took a moment to check out the catering offering. There was no shortage of delicious food and drink samples throughout the day, providing plenty of inspiration for upcoming festive events.
8:30 am – Ready for Visitors on the Story Stand
With everything set up, it was time to head back to the Story stand and welcome visitors. Throughout the morning, I had the chance to catch up with existing clients and meet plenty of new faces, too.
The conversations were varied but all centred around one thing: creating memorable events. We chatted about upcoming Christmas parties, summer celebrations, awards dinners and brand experiences, discussing ideas, venues, entertainment and how Story can help support.
It’s always rewarding to hear what brands are planning and to share ideas to help shape their events.
12:30pm – Lunch and More Networking
After a quick lunch break, I continued networking around the show floor. One of the best things about events like this is the opportunity to connect with so many talented venues and suppliers in one place.
Whether it was caterers showcasing exciting new menus, production teams demonstrating innovative technology, or venue partners sharing their latest offerings, there was plenty to discover and discuss.
The entertainment suppliers brought incredible energy to the show, with everything from live musicians and interactive performers to immersive experiences designed to elevate guest engagement. There was also no shortage of décor inspiration, with stunning tablescapes, festive styling, creative centrepieces, and innovative theming ideas on display throughout the venue, such as a wax figure of David Attenborough and various interactive games.
Seeing so many different elements come together is always a great reminder of the detail that goes into creating truly memorable events.
2:00pm – Back on the Story Stand
Back at the Story stand, the conversations continued. The afternoon brought another wave of visitors keen to discuss their event plans for the months ahead.
5:00pm – Wrapping Up the Day
As the show drew to a close, the atmosphere remained positive and energetic. Exhibitors, suppliers and attendees reflected on a successful day packed with inspiration, networking and valuable conversations.
To finish the day, the team gathered back on the Story stand. It was the perfect opportunity to reflect on the fantastic conversations we’d had, the new connections we’d made and the opportunities ahead.
Raising a glass together, we toasted another successful London Christmas Party Show and celebrated a brilliant day spent connecting with clients, partners and friends from across the events industry.
Until next year!
If we didn’t catch you at the stand but looking to get ahead with your end-of-year celebrations, it’s never too early to start the conversation.
