Working alongside our client and their Experience Events team, Story have been engaged to help deliver this premium supermarket’s Drinks Festival since 2016 and have just completed its fifth year.
We were tasked with creating an environment which welcomed customers into the ‘home’ of the brand, giving an opportunity to catch up with favourite products and sample new ones, just in time for Christmas.
We worked with trusted suppliers to build nearly 200 stands across eight rooms at etc County Hall. Customers were able to explore three wine rooms, a beer, cider, food & soft drinks room and two spirits rooms. Alongside the many rooms to explore, guests had the opportunity to take part in masterclasses and workshops and get the lowdown from their talented wine makers and master distillers.
This year saw the creation of the ‘Experience Room’, giving a home to the own brands such as Waitrose Cookery School, John Lewis Home Design Service and Wine Tasting at Home.
Plus there was a schedule of Q&As and demos with a celebrity pioneers such as Phillip Schofield, Simon Rimmer and Helen McGinn.
Bespoke Instagrammable moments included a roaming jazz band, confession booth, festive flower wall and personalisation on gift shop items.
Each year we try to better the last and this was a fantastic return to an ‘in person’ event, ensuring all covid safety measures were in place and the guest experience was as smooth as possible.
