At the end of March the Story team spent some well-earned time together at the beautiful Nedging Tye Hall in Ipswich. This was our first out of London offsite since 2019 and was a great opportunity for the team to catch up and reconnect.

On arrival, we were each shown to our rooms where we were greeted with our own pair of slippers, a personalised sustainable notebook and a Story year book. Once we had settled in we were transported via an old-style tractor with trailer to a wonderful country pub called the Lindsey Rose for lunch. As soon as everyone found their seats, drinks were served and we had a visit from our Managing Director, Steph, and the newest addition to the Story clan baby Toby!

We were then treated to an afternoon of creativity in the stunning barn on the grounds of our new home. As soon as we walked in there was a very long table next to a roaring fire with a ball of clay at each place setting. After being taught how to mould the clay we took time to create our own masterpieces whilst being guided by the team at Frankie Ceramics. The team will kindly glaze our ceramics in a colour of our choosing and post them directly to our office to treasure.

After this creative session, we were given free time which meant for many it was time to head to the pool, whilst others enjoyed exploring the beautiful grounds of Nedging Hall further.

The rest of the evening was relaxed and a delicious curry was served up by the extremely talented Chef Sebastian and the team from Arabella Reeve Catering. As the night continued the competitiveness of the team started to shine through when the games began.

As the sun rose on Thursday morning Chef Sebastian was back looking after us with a delicious breakfast to start the day. Following breakfast we were introduced to our inspirational guest speaker, Sarah Furness from Well Be It Coach. Sarah served twenty-one years in the RAF as a Squadron Leader and helicopter pilot so knows a great deal about remaining calm under pressure. Sarah taught us about uni-tasking and how we can implement this into our daily work and lifestyle. This was then followed by a whole company update where the team received an update on the last financial year, which turns out was our best year yet!

After the update the team headed back to the pool to enjoy spa treatments. We could choose between a relaxing shellac manicure or a hand/foot massage from the team at Secret Spa UK. We felt spoilt, pampered and ready for a fun and glamorous night ahead.

The theme for the last night was Dress to Impress and the team took this dress code very seriously… The drinks reception was held in the Billiards room before moving into the main dining room for a mouth-watering and delicious three-course dinner.

It was such a special two days with the team. It was a great chance to reset and align for the next financial year ahead which we hope to be even bigger and better than last year!
