Ros joined the Story Events family back in 2015 as a director, initially heading up the venue finding side of the business. She is now incredibly privileged to lead the Story team and firmly believes that the magic that is created at Story Events is a testament to the team’s dedication, creative and innovative thinking, and tireless efforts.

BEST EVENT

My dream event (which came true) was running the Great Ormond Street Formula One Ball which was amazing as it combined my love of fast cars, events and famous racing drivers!

WHAT I HAVE LEARNT

The events industry is a wonderful and exciting industry to be a part of and to truly grow and develop you must learn the art of collaboration. Events are a dynamic playground, and being able to pivot gracefully, is a skill worth mastering!

TOP TIP

It is so important, especially when involved in a fast-paced industry, to take time to step back and keep abreast of the latest venue openings, event news and current trends. This is how we ensure we remain fresh as an agency. I’ve come to appreciate the intricate dance between the details and the dreams of our clients. It’s about curating a wonderful experience that leaves an indelible mark on all who attend.

FAVOURITE VENUE/SUPPLIER

How can you choose?! Luckily working for an event agency, we really don’t have to. However, having said that I’m partial to a marquee as what could be better than transforming a patch of grass into a specially designed events space.

PROUDEST EVENT MOMENT

Realising the power of an event – this was never more apparent than when running Sparks’ charity event where they almost doubled the fundraising target in one evening.

And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places.

Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.

ROALD DAHL
Be nice to everyone – it’s a very small industry.
