Brief:

In October, Story received an enquiry from the Adopt-a-School Foundation regarding their fundraising gala dinner which was to be held in London on the 21st November 2022. Story were tasked with assisting AAS with finding a suitable venue and catering for the VIP guests, including the charity’s chairperson of the foundation, the President of South Africa plus theming and décor, and AV and production.

Delivery:

The AAS Foundation is based in South Africa, therefore, the clients were only able to arrive in London on the morning of the event. They put all of their trust in Story to plan and execute the event while assisting as much as they could from the other side of the world. The Story team had many meetings with the Met Police and Foundation to ensure the venue was secured and that there was no marketing ahead of the event.

The chosen venue was the amazing 116 Pall Mall a prestigious venue fitting for the event. Guest enjoyed a sumptuous 3-course menu which included a very special South African dessert.

Our fantastic supplier Hybrid designed a beautiful arrangement of flowers which included the South African National flower, the Protea. Sternberg Clarke supplied a profoundly talented band and hilarious comedian named Scott Bennett, who was thoroughly enjoyed by all the guests!

Throughout the night there was an auction which included a variety of wonderful items, such as traditionally beaded South African bottles of wines, the South African Bill of Rights, Safaris and many more.

The President recently had his birthday and the Foundation was to celebrating its 20th anniversary, Story organised a cake to be presented and cut during the event to mark the occasion.

On departure, guests were provided birthday cupcakes and goodie bags to remember this remarkable fundraising event.

Result:

“We had such a pleasant experience with you and thanks to you our event was a success. We really appreciate it.” Adopt-a-School Foundation
