EVENT BRIEF

Story Events worked alongside Revlon to seamlessly plan and execute their first incentive offsite since the pandemic. This was aptly named Always Connect. The client invited the hairdressers who hit sales targets to York Racecourse‘s fantastic finale weekend!

Our sister company Venue Search London used their expert venue finding skills to source the perfect venue. Story’s end to end event management services then came into play. We were responsible for registration, guest travel, theming and branding, as well as managing all the venue and conference details and navigating any logistics at the races.

DELIVERY

The client chose Hilton York as their venue for this event due to its bedroom capacity and proximity to the race course.

Everything began on Thursday with staggered guest arrival times. The majority checked in early, giving them the opportunity to explore York. All attendees were treated to goody bags in their rooms, filled with Revlon/ American Crew products as well as an itinerary for the next few days. This is a fantastic way to build anticipation. That evening, cocktails were in full flow at the hotel’s gin bar, starting their event journey with some great networking!

On Friday a buffet breakfast at The Towers Restaurant prepared guests for the exciting day ahead. In order to host a short talk by the Commercial Director, Story transformed the space with all the necessary AV and production. Coaches were ready shortly after to take guests to the racecourse. Here, guests delighted in a personalised photo moment with retro camera pod, bespoke props and a dedicated photographer. Moreover, a professional Tipster was available to guests to advise on betting strategy for the races. Displays of branded balloons and programmes were also within the space.

There was an amazing atmosphere in the private box and catering throughout the day kept everyone’s energy levels high. Return coaches drove guests back to the Hilton where an informal buffet and drinks took place in the gin bar. Saturday was departure day after a memorable and lively incentive offsite.

RESULTS

The client was thrilled with the event, stating how everything ran very smoothly. They have been congratulated and notably recognised as one of the first in their industry to host a networking incentive offsite of this magnitude and success.
